Our “prime Sessions” newsletter provides the latest product insights from our “blend master” experts, giving Pennsylvania patients a closer look into what’s next to leave our facility. In today’s edition, we’re giving you first-hand insight into our newest batch of prime-exclusive flower phenos that are headed for dispensary shelves. Read on for a prime insider’s look at Eulophia (Purple Haze x Malawi ML).

Brand-New Phenos, Bred in Pennsylvania

Attention patients who prefer our prime Purple Haze cultivar — our expert team has been working on a new trio of exclusive Eulophia phenotypes with you in mind. A cross between Malawi ML and Purple Haze, this hybrid cultivar shares its name with a type of orchid that flourishes in Malawi, Africa, where the genetics of its Malawi ML parent originates. This strain’s Purple Haze lineage shines through in its fruity aromas, dense trichome coverage, and impressive test results for total terpenes and cannabinoids.

During the meticulous tracking process for this breeding project, our team narrowed in on three distinctive Eulophia expressions — featuring indulgent flavors that range from sweet grapes and brown sugar to licorice and melon. Patients can look forward to seeing the #10 Blueberry Muffin, #26 Orange Scone, and #27 Amari phenos on dispensary shelves this month. Clocking in at 29.94% total terpenes, the #10 Blueberry Muffin Pheno is the highest-performing cultivar of this trio. This terpene-packed Eulophia expression displays bright green flowers with purple hues, featuring aromas of blueberries, grapes, licorice, and baked goods. The #26 Orange Scone pheno is the most visually unique of these three phenotypes — displaying a foxtailed flower structure with striking trichome heads — and featuring flavors of melon, licorice, brown sugar, and citrus. The #27 Amari pheno carries on the legacy of its Purple Haze parent with its aromas of classic haze, incense, and sour sugar.

Each of these expressions are rich in the terpene myrcene, an aromatic compound in medical marijuana that may hold sedative and pain-relieving potential for patients with various qualifying conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and chronic pain. Contributing to Eulophia’s terpene profile are ocimene and pinene. Ocimene, also found in orchids like this strain’s namesake, has a floral-leaning sweetness and may potentially provide anti-inflammatory benefits for arthritis and related conditions. This woodsy-smelling terpene pinene has been researched for its potential to treat inflammation. Consult with your dispensary pharmacist to learn more about the potentially therapeutic benefits in our Eulophia flower trio and best meet your unique medical needs.
